Students at Drexel University have opportunities to benefit from a mix of undergraduate classroom training and extensive on-the-job experience. Drexel runs a collaborative training program that sends students to more than 1,600 employers worldwide for six months at a time. The majority of co-ops are compensated, and a Drexel student's average take-home pay is more than $16,000. In most cases, students who complete three joint programs graduate in less than five years. Students who engage in a single experience or who do not have the same experience as the other students graduate in four years. At the school's main campus in Philadelphia, students will find much to do in their leisure time. There are over 300 student clubs and organizations to choose from. The Drexel Dragons have participated in the Colonial Athletic Association's NCAA Division I. The city's public transit hub, Street Station, is two blocks away, while Center City Philadelphia is a 10-minute walk away. Drexel students live on campus in excess of 70% of the time. Drexel offers respected programs through its College of Engineering and has a medical school and a law school. Notable alumni of Drexel University include Michael Anderson, a former professional basketball player, and Earle I. Mack, former ambassador to Finland.

Campus Life

The opportunity to live on campus is an exciting part of the collegiate experience. Each Drexel residence hall has its own distinct characteristics and amenities, although they all contain common lounges and study spaces, as well as kitchens and laundry facilities. Cable television and high-speed internet connection are available in each room. The Live Housing Staff, who organize frequent activities and study sessions for students living in the resident halls, assist them. Drexel's two-year residence program was created to give freshman and sophomores a variety of learning and lifestyle housing alternatives to help them personalize their Drexel experience. Second-year students can live in the American Campus Community (Caneris or Stiles Hall) or the Drexel residential hall (Canaris or Stiles Hall) (The Summit, University Crossings, or Chestnut Square). Drexel also provides residential learning communities where you may interact with other students from your academic college or special interest group to boost your academic learning at the university.
