Our globalized economy needs new graduates to join the workforce. That is why you should spend a semester or year abroad is utterly vital. Assuming you know this already, because you are on this website searching for abroad internships , where or which to study for a full degree. There are lots of ways to get your dream abroad internship, in your dream country, with many price options and many levels of involvement. Here are some tips for you.
One of the easiest ways to find an abroad internship is to find a company who will organize the internship for you for a fee, but it is the most expensive way and I would not recommend this method to most people. Essentially you are paying a company for working for free, plus you still need money to travel, housing and everything else.
This is one of the best methods I could recommend to you. AIESEC is a global organization run by and for college students, which finds abroad internships for their members. There could be an AIESEC chapter in your university, if there is one I recommend you to join. You can meet amazing people there, and make friends from all over the world. AIESEC will provide you with a mentor in your destination city. This mentor is going to help you get your visa, pick you up from the airport, take you to your apartment(they organize one for you), will get you to your first day at your internship, and provide lots of friends to work with.
This is the best way to find an internship abroad but it needs a lot of work. But if you can accomplish this, it is an amazing feeling. Most important thing here is being persistent. You may have to email a lot of companies and forget about the big companies. You are just a kid who graduated university. You have done nothing worthy yet. Big companies pick from among the best who have 5+ or 10+ years of experience. So forget about the big ones and focus on smaller companies.
Think about your hobbies and find a company correlating to that. Lots of small companies look for talented, motivated young people, and they often will be more generous in terms of payment and attention they give you. So what are you waiting for, get out there and find yours!
