- Although it is thought that a language close to Russian is spoken in Romania because it is mentioned in the Eastern European Block; Contrary to popular belief, Romanian, which is derived from Latin, is used. In fact, it is so close to Italian that just for this reason you can witness that many Romans speak Italian like their mother tongue.

- Contrary to popular belief, Romanians are not gypsies. This is something they are most angry with and react to incredibly. In Romania, there are gypsies living as nomads; but this is only a fraction of its total population.

- Romanians are incredibly friendly people. They cheerfully chat with you even on the street. You can kiss your Romanian friend on both cheeks. They usually find it cold to kiss once on one cheek.
