Among the movies, it is the most recently published production. Tom Hanks and Maryl Streep have the lead roles in the movie. The Post has received great attention in the film and crowned its success with 18 awards. Regarding the subject The Washington Post - government conflicts that took place during the US president Nixon's reign.
 

Good Night, and Good Luck (2005) – IMDb: 7.5

Don’t judge this movie with black-white visual. The film was directed by George Clooney. Subject is Jim McCarthy, a subject of great debate in American political history, and Edward R. Murrow, the investigative journalist against his policies, trying to explore the truth. The film won 38 awards.

Frost/Nixon (2008) - IMDb: 7.5

After seeing the Nixon name, many people may have remembered the Watergate scandal and what happened later. Yes, the TV show of the famous talk show host David Frost and President Richard Nixon is the subject. The movie achieved 21 awards.

The Killing Fields (1984) - IMDb: 7.9

One of the oldest films on our list. Famous names like Sam Walterson and John Malkovich, involved in this movie. Subject is the challenges faced by a journalist who is preparing the news about the civil war in Cambodia. This movie, which includes a total of 27 awards including 3 Oscar, is also quoted from a true story.

Nightcrawler (2014) - IMDb: 7.9

In main role, Jake Gyllenhaal, who is one of the most acclaimed actors of recent years. It is a movie that amazes everyone with expert acting of Jake Gyllenhaal. The subject of this film, which we believe that IMDb score is not reflecting the reality, is a story about the crime and tension of a young person, who has never succeeded but who did not give up. All The President’s Men (1976) – IMDb: 8.0

This film is a great production, for understanding the importance of investigative journalism. Again we are saying that there is another film about Watergate Scandal which is highly shown in journalistic films. Because of produced exactly during that period, movie gained many applauses. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman starred in the film and won 17 awards including 4 Oscars.

Citizenfour (2014) – IMDb: 8.1

It is undoubtedly the most successful of many movies about the hacker Edward Snowden, which is very popular in the American market. Described as a documentary, the film tells the story of two journalists in an interview with Edward Snowden. The first time the secrets were shown in this movie. The movie received 44 awards, including the Oscar, and didn't fall off the agenda for a long time.

Spotlight (2015) – IMDb: 8.1

Successful production combined with master actors Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, and many more. Spotlight fascinates the audience with its courage and struck. The film, which examines child abuse in churches in Boston, has received 122 awards including Oscar, BAFTA, AACTA, and AFI Awards.

Citizen Kane (1941) – IMDb: 8.4

Citizen Kane, one of the most important films in the history of cinema, is a masterpiece by Orson Welles. The reporter who investigates the meaning of a “Rosebud” which was the last word of a businessman before his death.  Movie tells the way he pursued and his attempts to solve the secret. The movie holds nine awards.
