The United States of America, one of the most important education centers in the world, embraces the dreams of students who want to receive academic education with more than 4000 educational institutions.
In addition to having a wide variety of faculties and departments, universities also offer a wide range of research and doctoral programs to students.
In the United States, universities are divided into two as State University or Private University (Private). Academic and social opportunities offered to students by State and Private universities vary among themselves.
In particular, students who want to receive academic education should pay attention to the state where the university is located, and the social and academic opportunities offered to international students when choosing universities and programs.
Master education generally takes 2 years in the United States, but this period can be completed in a shorter time thanks to work experience or additional documents you submit to universities. Since there is a credit system in master education in the United States, the higher the credit you receive per semester, the sooner you have the chance to complete your education.
Unlike universities in the UK and Australia, universities in the United States have a pool system for applications, where all applications are accepted within a predetermined application date and deadline range. Students with the highest academic achievement are selected. For this reason, an official application must be made to universities in order to know the absolute result.
The academic calendars of many universities start in September. Applications for programs starting in September are expected to be made approximately 8-9 months in advance. For the exact application dates, the official websites of the universities must be checked and applications must be made between the specified application dates. Although it is unlikely that the applications will be accepted, applications can be accepted in a short period of time after the deadline due to the low demand.
- GPA (GPA)
- English language level (TOEFL or IELTS)
- Work experience
- GRE or GMAT score
- Reference letters
- Letter of intent
One of the important points to note is that students who cannot officially prove their language level (who do not have Toefl or IELTS exam results) will not be evaluated, even if their applications are made. In recent years, some private universities have started offering conditional admissions, but a very limited number of universities offer this opportunity to international students.
Likewise, GMAT or GRE exam results must be available to students during their applications to universities.
Many universities provide special training for these exams within their own organization for students who do not have sufficient language level or have not yet received GMAT / GRE exam results. However, after these trainings, they must definitely get the required qualifying scores, then universities consider the program applications of the students.
International students can fully benefit from all social and sports activities of the universities. In addition, accommodation opportunities are also very diverse and accommodation can be arranged in the student dormitories of the university or independent from the university.
Annual university tuition fees start from 8-15 thousand USD in state universities and 10-20 thousand USD in private universities. These tuition fees do not include additional fees such as accommodation, health insurance, material fees.
