The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), as its full name suggests, is a well-known institution that specializes in Social Sciences. LSE is the most multicultural school in the UK, with the largest ratio of international students. It is also one of 24 members of the Russell Group, which strives for excellence in teaching and research.

In the 2013/14 global ranking list published by QS World University, the London School of Economics was rated second in Social Sciences and fourth in terms of employer reputation and international student diversity. LSE also boasts the country's lowest dropout rate, at 3%. The LSE was named the UK's top and finest research university in social sciences by the Research Excellence Framework in 2014.
All first-year students at the London School of Economics are guaranteed to live in dorms known as "University Halls." Each year, the application deadline for University Halls is established in May. The cooperation between LSE and the University of London provides students with even more housing alternatives.
