Kobe University is one of the oldest and largest national universities in Japan, as well as one of the highest ranking national universities in the country. It comprises 14 graduate schools and 11 undergraduate faculties, and holds about 16,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs.
Kobe University, working in a spirit of integrity, freedom, and cooperation in keeping with its open and cosmopolitan culture and environs, aims to contribute to the global community through the creation of knowledge founded on universal values and the fostering of rich understanding and strong leadership skills.
There is the Information Science and Technology Center in the campus. This Center provides ICT (Information and Communication Technology) infrastructure to support the educational, research, and administrative activities of all members of the university including students, faculties, and staffs.
The clubs, circles and societies at Kobe University are established and run independently by students. Extracurricular activities are an opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, and experience another side of student life in Japan.
