Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University was founded in Nevsehir, in 2007, with the vision of becoming a pioneering university that contributes to universal values by providing services in tourism, economy, art and technology fields and education, research and intellectual leadership in the Cappadocia Region, which is one of the cultural and natural world's heritages.The main campus of the university is located in Nevşehir. Apart from this, the university also provides training in the settlements located in the provinces of Avanos, Derinkuyu, Gulsehir, Hacıbektaş, Kozaklı, Ürgüp. There are 7 faculties, 2 colleges, 6 vocational colleges, and 7 research centers in the university where 14609 students have studied and 575 academic staff are working.
