Osaka City University (OCU), is a public university in Japan. Principles of education in OCU are: promotion original and distinctive research aimed at the creation of new knowledge, dealing with the specific issues that the city faces, give back the fruits of research to the city and its citizens, and promotion research that can act as a seed for new industries.
OCU comprises eight faculties and 10 graduate schools (Business, Economics, Law, Literature and Human Sciences, Science, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Human Life Science and Creative Cities). In all of its faculties, emphasis is placed on small-group tutorials and seminars, so teaching staff are easily approachable and students can freely ask their questions.
