Namık Kemal University was established on the 17 of March 2006, as a state university in Tekirdağ, with the vision of becoming a world university that is developing continuously with its researcher and innovative approach by giving education and training services in international standards.The University's central campus is Degirmenaltı. There are 1,324 academic and administrative staff in 8 Faculties, 1 Conservatory, 3 Institutes, 3 colleges , 11 Vocational Schools, 10 Application and Research Centers and 5 Department Presidency, where 26,500 students study.
