Umea University

Formally established in 1965, Umeå University is a comprehensive university covering research and education in medicine, science and technology, social sciences, arts and humanities, and educational sciences. In total, Umeå University provides 150 study programmes and 1,800 courses. More than 40 programmes and 450 courses are offered with instruction language entirely in English. Umeå University's vision based on three main concepts such as responsibility for the future, collaborative development of knowledge, competitive edge and pride. Umeå University has a big campus and there is the "Universalum" building in the center of it, which has restaurants, a student counseling center, an information service, a student union center, a clinic, a university-specific merchandise store, a hairdresser, a minibar, etc.
