University College of Boras

The University of Borås is a modern university located in the centre of the city. UB is known for its unique educational offerings, including some programmes that are only offered here. University of Borås is a member of the European University Association, EUA. The university offers courses and study programmes within the areas of: Library and Information Science, Behavioural and Education Sciences, Business and Informatics, Engineering, Fashion and Textile Studies, and Health Sciences. UB has a wide range of partnerships with companies and authorities of the surrounding society, and plans and carries out its research with its partners. The campus is located in modern, purpose built buildings in the city centre within walking distance of local amenities such as shops, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and the main bus and train stations. The university has The Student Union that is a student-run organisation which offers advice, activities and other services for students. All students can become a member by paying a membership fee. The membership gives a student card which grants many discounts. Some of the student union activities are only open for members.
