Project management is the most important part of any business. So how is a project managed ?
Whether you have a business line based on product production or service, there will be a project process you need to plan as a result. Project management is not a difficult process as it seems from the outside. The hard part is not knowing the answer to the question of how to manage the project. You fear what you don’t know, and that would be your nightmare.
There are many project management systems you can buy such as Basecamp, Asana, Trello and others. Choosing one of these will provide you great convenience. However, if you do not prefer such a system, you can perform project management on a notebook or a whiteboard.
Knowing your way before setting off will give you an advantage. What is the content of this project? What are you expected to do? What is the goal of the project?
Once you have determined the answers to these questions, it will be much easier to hand over a complete delivery and reach the deadline. Because you will be able to divide your workload into the remaining days and make necessary interventions at points where you think you are behind the schedule.
For each step of the project, there may be extra information you need to know or some tools you never knew about. To learn about these information and tools, you must research. No matter how expert you are on a subject, do not take a break from researching and improving yourself. Whatever your job is, this is the key to success.
Now you know the content and goals of the project. You have also made your planning according to your deadline. You have also identified the extra information and tools you need to include in the project process. Now you need to have your course of action. In addition, you need to agree on the process with your client or your managers who gave you the project management.
You have determined your chronological order and the dates of work on the draft document. Now you need to move each item on this outline to your project management system. Put things right on calendars in the management system. On this calendar, clearly state who is responsible for the work and by which date it should be completed.
As I mentioned from the beginning, it is very important that the project takes place on a schedule. It is important to spend some time on the schedule daily to check the progress of the project during this time. If there is any point you are behind in the process you must intervene. Identify the factors that cause the job to be delayed. Quickly respond to those factors.
When you make the right distribution of responsibilities in the project management system, define what your instructions are, and if you have chosen people who are really experts in their work, the project will run on time and as you expect. One of the most critical issues is to determine the team well. If you have assigned experts in their field of work to these tasks, sit back and watch the process progress.
