Welcome to Manchester Metropolitan University Dating back to 1824, Manchester Metropolitan University is home to over 38,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, including a diverse community of 3,000 international students from 120 countries, and is ranked in the world's top 200 universities under 50 years old(Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2020). The University is undergoing a £400m major capital investment programme to facilities, buildings and public spaces, and is the UK's greenest university (People and Planet University League 2020). Our campus is located in the heart of Manchester - amongst world-renowned music, arts, shopping and sports venues and the second largest Chinatown in the UK. Manchester is considered Britain’s ‘best city to live in’(Global Liveability Survey 2017 by the Economist Intelligence Unit) and one of the world's top 25 best student cities(QS 2018). 85% of our research has 'world-leading' or 'internationally excellent' impact (REF 2014-2021), our School of Architecture is ranked 7th in the world (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018) and our Business School has prestigious AACSB accreditation, placing it among an elite group of business schools worldwide. We provide our students with regular employability events, including advice workshops, industry networking, guest speakers and careers fairs, as well as careers advice during their studies and for 3 years after graduating. These include collaborative teaching partnerships where Manchester Metropolitan University degrees are delivered with local partners, student exchange partnerships with 121 universities, and research collaborations.
